Advent December 11

We had our friends The Hamners over, and my mom, sister and Matt to decorate Christmas cookies! It was a tad chaotic, but very fun. Glenn and I made the 5 dozen cookies or so the night before. The boys decorated a few cookies and then was done with that and ran upstairs to play. That left a few dozen cookies for the grown ups to finish!

Hanging Around

Advent

Thanks to one of our friends Kim, I got a great idea for the advent calendar. Instead of filling our advent with junk....we have filled it with fun things for the family to do together each day. The boys really love getting up in the morning and having us read what the days activities hold! Here are some of the pictures from the first days. We didn't take pictures of sodas after school, desert at Chick Fil A but the ones that are really fun, and more than a special treat we try to remember to pull out the photos!

More blog posts to come for the rest of December!

Tis the Season

We started the Christmas season with a visit with Santa. The boys and I made our Santa letter this morning, and brought it to Santa at Market Street this afternoon! They really enjoyed it and it was very pleasant that this was a year where no one was scared of Santa!

Photo of a photo! :)
Mason was so proud when he finally got up here by himself. BUT I didn't get that pic!
Cute boys, I had to show them their pic for them to finally take a good one!
Giant tree! Ayden says that Santa must of decorated this tree in his sleigh since it was so tall!
My attempt at a close up, Mason bumped into Ayden's nose!
After Santa, Mason was done with those photos!
Kung fu in the walkway!
Oh cute boys!
Santa's letters!
