Hurricane Ike

We are alive and have survived! On Tuesday September 16th we are still without power. It doesn't look good for immediate relief but we have my sister and mother with power so that is a nice break. I will post pictures soon and try to tell the best story possible of the world around here. The lack of basic necessities is really surreal. We have a generator at the house so I am pleased that I can offer my children sweatless nights and food that does not come from a can. We love everyone and hope everyone is safe and well. Coming back to post when power is restored to my casa!
