My little fish

We heated the pool starting several weekends ago. The boys couldn't wait to get in the pool, and it is truly a joy to soak up the sun and watch the kids smile and swim.

This past weekend, we went swimming again and it was warm enough for Reid to take a dip (sans Mommy) and he was not pleased at all. He put on his grumpy face and was ready to get out. I took him out of the pool and nursed him to calm him down. It was so sweet to nurse my sweet little guy in sun while watching the big boys have a blast. It is surreal to think that this was my life and one of my ways to calm each of my sweet little boys. So many years have past, but it feels like it has happened in the blink of the eye. My boys have grown into strong willed, caring, and loving boys.

I also snapped some fun photos of Reid crawling on the table and playing with Daddy's hat! He is absolutely into everything lately which prompted the purchase this evening of a baby super play yard. I have never been one for play pens or lots of gates, but with the support of friends, and logic, I think boundaries will be good for Reid when I am busy with the other boys, and prevent him from injuring himself. His thrill of adventure ends up in lots of falls and slips. How can I possibly have a little boy that is MORE busy than my active first born?

Who's the baby?

Ayden and Daddy have a cute saying..."Who's the baby? Who's the baby Re-Re?"

It is so cute, and they say it each time they see him! And this sweet little baby is now 8 months old! Where has the time gone?????

Reid is crawling...he is like running but on his knees, he is cruising along the furniture and climbing onto things. He cries at least every twenty minutes cause he has slammed into something in his way. This baby may have to explore some serious baby gates if he doesn't get more stable soon! He has said Dada, Momma, and Ayden, but nothing consistently. He is eating a lot! He always has lunch and dinner, and sometimes breakfast! He nurses every two-four hours, and loves snacks. He also really likes water!!!!

Enjoy!

The years tick by...

All of the sudden you realize your little boy is a big boy. Trying out for swim team! The Imperial Oaks swim team was able to use the Conroe ISD natatorium for try outs. Ayden's eyes were big as he took in the sights of the $12 million dollar facility. He was clearly nervous, but it couldn't of been equal to his momma's nerves. I reluctantly passed him of to the coach that said, you can go up to the bleachers now, and I ran. I ran fast to make it up to the bleachers so I wouldn't miss a second of my big boys first try out. He reached the other side of the pool and the coach shook out his arms, just like on the Olympics! He jumped in and swam, and I mean SWAM! He didn't even breathe for the first half of the pool. The 6 and under group had to cross the pool without holding onto the edge. I was screaming at the top of my lungs, while Daddy shot away! Brothers were eagerly watching and Mason even cheered once. He made it across and I ran, and I mean RAN down the stairs to meet my little man, waiting for me at the doors with his "score" card in hand. He was on the team. Ayden was not quite as enthusiastic, still whimpering a bit from the thrill of it all!

I love him and am so proud!

Baby legs!!!

Ohhhh How I love baby legs. I really need to buy some new pairs...although little bit could easily be walking as soon as they would come!

Fun morning at home, and momma had to shoot! I need to dig up photos of little Mason and the very same legs!!!

I also caught a shot of Reid and his beloved Praise Baby, the show that he stops everything for.

I miss you dear blog

Work, friends and life have kept me away. I miss this. I think my blog is a bit of a release. A time to look back over the fun things when life gets busy and heavy.

So here we go...a step back in time to Easter. We went camping at John and Rilla's place. This was a place I vacationed each year when I was little. It was so fun and reminiscent to travel back here with my three children. I also had an unbelievable appreciation for my mother, as she did this year after year, without an Oma and Gomer to help and without a wonderful monster RV. I got to tell the little ones to go on a hike when the Easter bunny was ready to visit our camp ground. I got to put the easter baskets at their bed, and I got to be the momma! It was so cool (for lack of a better word) to be on the other side at a place I loved as a child.

The following weekend, we picked up for the fourth weekend in a row to a much anticipated weekend away with the Steffeks and Christen! We headed to Diboll, and had a perfect time. On Saturday we fished, hiked, rode mules, dirt bikes and four wheelers, swung, and wakeboarded. Ayden actually begged to go wakeboarding with Glenn, despite the awful cold. Sunday was clean up and relaxation! Emma and the boys played non-stop, and she did a great job catching up the two crazy Dominy boys. Reid and Lachlan played so sweetly next to each other, exploring each others faces many times! This weekend was wonderful to have with my girlfriends, and the kids. It was my little piece of time with my best friends, which are cherished moments in this season of life!
